The Company set up business in the early nineteenth century in the fruit and vegetable sector, and then it expanded its activity round about the middle of the century to olive-growing, a tree which has a historical relevance in Tuscany.
In the first decades of the twentieth century the business began flower-growing, with the main mediterranean varieties of carnations and gladioli, which represented a seasonal alternative to olive-growing. |
